Domenico Starnone (Italy) in Conversation with Prof. Uri S. Cohen
Viewing is free | No registration is required
Domenico Starnone is one of the most important Italian writers of our time. In his books, he brilliantly portrays the Italian family, marriage, and old age. Rumor has it that his wife, translator Anita Raja, is the popular author Elena Ferrante, and there are even those who claim that Ferrante is in fact Starnone himself. Prof. Uri S. Cohen will speak with the author about his work and how he has been influenced by the writings of poet and philosopher Dante Alighieri, the 700th anniversary of whose death is being marked this year. They will also discuss the "illegal legality" of Naples, the importance of the city in Italian literature, and Starnone's new book, Trust, which was recently published in Israel.
