Yael Garden, Mishkenot Sha'ananim Cultural Center

Moderator:Tchelet Zohar

At the turn of the twenty-first century, new voices were heard in the public space—the voices of poets who grew out of social networks. Poetry began to flood the web, attracting likes, comments, and discussions, arriving directly from the artist to the reader, without mediation or censorship. The position of the reader in relation to the text has changed decisively, as has the relationship between the author and the reader.

At this event, poets Odeya Rosenak, Roy Hasan, and Noam Partom will read from their poetry about sexuality, gender, power, and despair. The event will be moderated by poet Tchelet Zohar and accompanied by DJ and music producer Tomer Katz, who also composed, wrote, and produced original music for the series Dismissed (HaMefakedet).
