Sleight of Hands | Photography Exhibition from the Doron Sebbag Collection, ORS Ltd
The exhibition “Sleight of Hand” explores the process by which photography broke free from its role as a documentary tool and became a conscious artistic act involving staging and invention. Through the works of artists such as Nan Goldin, Vik Muniz, Rineke Dijkstra, David Spero, James Casebere, and Ori Gersht, the “seams” between reality and fiction are revealed—those that invite us to question what we see and the gap between reality and interpretation. In an age of engineered images, these works remind us that photographic truth is always dependent on perspective; it resides not in what the eye sees, but in what the hand constructs and the heart remembers.
