On Hope | Eli Sharabi in Conversation with Roni Kuban

At the festival’s closing event, former hostage Eli Sharabi will speak with Roni Kuban about his book “Hostage”(Sela Meir Publishing), which recounts his experiences in Hamas captivity. The book quickly became an international bestseller and is currently being adapted into a Hollywood feature film. Sharabi has written a lucid and deeply personal testimony about abduction, survival, and the enduring wounds of memory.

In conversation with Roni Kuban, he will reflect on the journey from the extreme reality of captivity to writing the book, and on the space between silence and speech, and between personal trauma and a broader human and social narrative.
