Living with Our Dead: Delphine Horvilleur (France) in Conversation with Yael Segalovitz
Reform rabbi, author, editor and prominent leader of French Jewry, Delphine Horvilleur will discuss her book "Living with Our Dead" (published in Hebrew by Lucos Publishing) – a reflection on Judaism’s approach to grief through the stories of eleven individuals whose lives have ended. Through encounters with their loved ones and stories from the Jewish texts, Horvilleur offers her observations on death and its role in our lives, providing inspiring essays of solace. “Living with Our Dead” ranked as the sixth bestseller in France in 2021.
Literary scholar Dr. Yael Segalovitz will join Horvilleur to explore themes of death, mourning and comfort within both personal and national contexts.
