The Age of Innocence | 1993
Dir. Martin Scorsese | 133 minutes
English | Hebrew Subtitles
A tale of lost love that takes us to the gaudy, opulent world of New York high society in the 1870s. An enchanting adaptation of Edith Wharton's great novel.
Julia May Jonas is a playwright and theater director from New York. During the COVID pandemic, when she had no work, she sat down to write her first novel, “Vladimir”. Immediately following its publication, the book aroused a literary scandal, drew thousands of readers, and was translated into numerous languages. As part of the Festival, May Jonas will present the film “The Age of Innocence” and talk about how it influenced her and her work.
