Boo! First-Person Fright: A writing Workshop on Supernatural Horror Stories with the Editors of Boo!
Wednesday 21.5
18:00-19:30
Fostell Hall
What makes a scary story truly terrifying? In this workshop, we’ll read excerpts from classic masters of horror, explore key strategies for writing first-person horror fiction – and learn how to take fear to the next level. Participants will then try their hand at writing their own short horror pieces, followed by a shared reading and group discussion.
Led by author Dana Schweppe and writer Amir Harash, co-editors of Boo! a literary journal dedicated to horror in literature, film, and culture.
Open to adults and to teens age 16 and up.
