Ayelet Tsabari, winner of the Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature, lived in Canada for many years and recently returned to Israel. Author Maya Arad, whose new book All about Abigail was recently published, holds a PhD in linguistics and is currently serving as writer in residence at Stanford University’s Taube Center for Jewish Studies. Each of these acclaimed authors has a unique voice. Tsabari writes her books in English, while Arad writes in Hebrew. Tsabari will speak with Arad about emigration from Israel, questions of belonging and identity with regard to place and language, women writers’ envy, and their place in the Israeli and Jewish canons.
